Dr Anton Peiris
Geriatrician
Dr Anton Peiris is a geriatrician working in Australia and New Zealand. He obtained his primary medical degree from the Colombo Medical School and completed his MD training in General Medicine at the Postgraduate Institute of Medicine, Colombo. Then he got his FRACP in Geriatrics and General Medicine undergoing RACP dual training in Australian and New Zealand hospitals.
He has also had additional training in Palliative Medicine in Sydney, obtaining an RACP Diploma from the Sydney Institute of Palliative Medicine at RPA Hospital. His research interests include frailty, fall prevention, and strategies to maintain independence in older adults. He is passionate about conducting educational sessions using novel techniques for clinicians involved in caring for older people.
