Dr Desmond Graham
Chief Medical Officer
Dr Desmond Graham is passionate about educating and empowering the community about how to remain active and independent as we age. Dr Des hopes to educate the community about what practical tools can be implemented to prevent or slow the development of medical conditions with the aim of minimising admissions to hospital and promoting Healthy Ageing, he even hosts a podcast: The Healthy Ageing Podcast.
Dr Des’ passion for Healthy Ageing came from seeing the inequalities in the delivery of healthcare. Growing up in Broken Hill, in regional country New South Wales, he saw the challenges family and friends faced in accessing not only specialist medical services but also the educational tools to maintain their health and wellbeing. This drove him to pursue a career in healthcare.
Dr Des has over 14 years of medical training and experience and is an active member of the Australian and New Zealand Society for Geriatric Medicine. Being awarded the Alek Safarian Scholarship, he has completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Sydney, to further develop the tools needed to enact meaningful, long-lasting change within the healthcare sector.
